Yoga is a system of practices and attitudes

that ground us in our inherent wholeness.

“I came to Dana shortly after herniating a disc in my lower back. My goals were to improve my flexibility, balance and core strength to prevent re-injuring my back. Dana has been instrumental, not only in my recovery, but in improving my overall health. She listened to me, observed and developed a personalized plan which has improved my breathing, flexibility, posture, balance and core strength. She truly cares about her students and makes her sessions extremely enjoyable, while at the same time, very challenging. I highly recommend Dana to anyone considering yoga, from novice to expert.” ~ C., student since August 2014

Project Yoga Richmond

Back in 2010, I was honored to co-found Project Yoga Richmond, a non-profit organization and pay-what-you-can community yoga space dedicated to the idea that all people regardless of income or ability deserve access to skilled yoga instruction.

PYR has grown to serve thousands of individuals in its short history. In 2017 alone PYR offered over 23,000 unique experiences of yoga to children, seniors, individuals in addiction recovery, and children and adults with special needs. They also provided sources of further learning to teachers and practitioners through workshops and special events. Please check out the link above to see how you can support PYR or join in at the studio!

Up Dog Yoga, LLC

I love working with people one on one– it’s definitely the best part of my job. My ultimate aim is to help people develop a personal practice that is adaptable for the changes that life brings. Many individuals choose to work with me for several years. With private sessions you have the opportunity to discuss current challenges with me in a safe, supportive space– and we chat, breathe, move, and problem-solve together. Students are often their own best teachers– my aim is simply to help clear a space so that learning can unfold! Sessions start at $50 and up. Please contact me for more information on pricing.
